On 16th – 18th of February,
Warwick Real Ale society will be hosting its annual Real Ale Festival at Warwick university.
This is the largest student-run beer festival in the UK. With over 100 beers and tens of ciders the festival is one of the best attended events on campus with over 3,000 students and non-students alike descending upon the Copper Rooms for three nights of drinking and fun.
Whether you’re a seasoned real ale enthusiast or just up for trying new drinks, the festival always proves to be a great event. Entertainment will of course be provided and, as has become tradition, the 2012 festival will be headlined by Dr Busker – Britain’s last Victorian pub pianist. See him on YouTube here[1]. Nothing compares to the sight of a packed Copper Rooms with hundreds of people chanting ‘More Beer’ while enjoying the life-enhancing effects of Britain’s traditional beverage. Have a look on the ‘Pictures’ section of the website to see photos of last year’s and previous years festivals.
This year’s festival will be held in Copper Rooms 1 of the Students Union building located on the University of Warwick’s main campus. The university is situated just outside of Coventry, with easy access from other nearby towns including Birmingham, Rugby and Leamington Spa. For more detailed directions: Directions.
